My Approach

My overall approach is eclectic.  Every person’s experiences will vary so there is no one approach that I find will work for every situation.  However, there are several psychotherapy approaches that I frequently use with clients: behavioral, cognitive, solution focused and mindfulness.  It is important to meet people where they are to get the best results, even if it means getting out into the community to make change happen.  There is a need for a mutual respect within the counseling relationship.  My goal is to provide a safe environment that allows clients to build trust and foster growth.  The client is the expert of their own life experience, as the professional my role to support the journey and awaken the light that already existed.
